Today is Opal's due date. I am so glad she came out early to be with us. I'm very very glad I'm not still pregnant! She is so much more fun this way. 

Opal Mae Browning

 Opal Mae Browning was born on 1/11/11 at 9:07 pm at 6lbs 14oz and 18".

 This is Danielle the L&D nurse that helped deliver. She was great. 

 I'll get to this story later, but Opal had to go to the Newborn Intensive Care Unit for the first 24 hours for some breathing difficulty. 

 Liesel our Doula and good friend who helped us through the whole thing.

 Wow, no pretty post birth picture here. I was TIRED! What a workout! I felt how I looked. Poor Opal's purple hands. They kept on reassuring me they were normal. 

 I got to hold her for a bit before they took her away to listen to her lungs and do her apgars. 

 Her she is in the NICU all wired up. Really sad. Like I said I'll give more of the story later when I have more time.

Opal loves to be swaddled TIGHT! We learned that one quickly. 

 Obviously these are out of order, but this is her coming home from the hospital picture. 

Hope that will tide everybody over for a bit, until I have time to do a real post. 

A whole lot of Christmas

 I miss the deers in Utah

 Meeting my kid brother's girlfriend was a delight.

 And seeing Nico for the second time.

 Christmas morning was awesome to watch Zoe open presents.

 Jesse's delicious Christmas present to Mom was to make Christmas night dinner. Oh man it was so yummy! You should do that more often Jesse...I'm sure Mom agrees.

 Oh and the wonderful Christmas story. We all dressed up. Thanks Nicole for the amazing lamb costume!

 I was the Pregnant Mary.

 Jon and I made donkey ears and tail for Dad. It was pretty awesome, but the ears kept on falling off.  

 That is one huge Mary....and one big lamb as well.

 Zoe was so cute and had her lines all memorized.

 A lot of singing.

 It was so fun to have Jon's parents over to watch and hang out and my aunt Pam.

 That tinfoil star later in the night fell into the candle and caught on fire.....for quite a while before anyone noticed. It was some good excitement for the night.
