Climbing with our old climbing buddy

We used to go climbing a good amount back in the day with our friend Josh Reeder. When we went back to bless Opal we were able to go the Quarry to do some climbing.

I like rock climbing outside a lot more, but this was post-baby climbing since I'm so out of shape.

Our cute baby girl slept in her seat the whole time. This seems like the easy stage to do things with her because she isn't mobile.

A bazillion blessing pics

Opal was blessed in the dress that I was blessed in when I was a baby. Good job Mom for keeping track of it!

Opal's blessing

We went to Utah to bless Opal.
She slept up until the last minute....then Jon said that Opal had her eyes WIDE open during the whole blessing, but never made a sound. What a good little girl.
I tried to get everybody that was there in a photo together.....it was very stressful and I missed a lot of people including Jon's parents who had left early to fix the food. Well this was as good as we could do.
Our funny face picture: I think it hilarious that when someone says make a funny face everybody sticks their tongues out.

Opal let Nico borrow her pink binky, but Grandma had to hold it in for him.

Bottle by Zoe

We try to give Opal a bottle of milk I've pumped once a day or every other day so she will be used to it when I go back to work. Zoe REALLY wanted to give Opal a bottle all by herself.
She immediately requested a burp cloth...
and wanted Rachel to put it on her shoulder...
we convinced her to put it under Opal's head on the nice pillow instead.

She was very interested in the feeding for a couple of minutes...
and then got distracted by Nico.
...and then remembered about Opal again....

....and then got distracted once more...
It was the most exciting bottle feeding I've ever witnessed. Thanks for being such a good helper Zoe!

More kites!

Have I mentioned I like flying kites? My Mom got my Dad a kite as a surprise after a long hard day of work. We went and flew it at Rock Canyon. That's my Dad running into the sunset....with his kite.
My Mom had Opal strapped to her keeping her warm.

Me....I had just finished a run, hence the funky getup....
 Dad
Dad proceeded to show me that he could fly a kit one handed, one hand behind his back, not looking.....I eventually stopped taking pictures of his amazing talents, but you get the idea.
