Happy Birthday to Me

I know this post is like five days late...but better late than never! This is the first time I have ever #1. almost forgotten my birthday #2. forgotten how old I was turning #3. felt old. I know that 25 is not even close to being old, but I had to feel out some paper work for my insurance and I was in the second bracket... you know how they have the first bracket that says 18-24, then 25-31, etc...That is the first time in my life I haven't gotten to check the first bracket!
Then the other day Jon and I were shopping in Union Square and I made a comment to him about how there are some seriously ugly styles comming back. He said that we are getting to the point in our lives where our fashion has stopped progressing and now we're becoming those people that mock the ugly style of the youngerds and don't really change our style anymore. I was thinking about that the other day, driving home from work, and realized that I don't want my style to stay stagnant and be one of those old moms that has no idea what is "in" or not. I am determined to go out of my comfort zone and have some fun! .....Then I started wondering if I was at an age where I should start dressing more "mature" and bla bla bla. Because on the other hand I don't want to be an old fart trying to act young.
I don't really think that i'm really old or anything, but this is the first time where I have not really felt like a kid anymore....even though I may still act like one.
As for the picture...Jon suprised me for my birthday with an orchid. He said that he knows how I like to keep my flowers as long as possible, so he got this for me because it can last up to months.....without watering it or caring for it much....which he mentioned because I really stink at taking care of our plants. It really is so beautiful though...it almost looks fake...that's how perfect it is. Thanks Jon. I love you!
Happy Birthday to Me!
Oh yeah and thanks everybody for coming over and playing games and bringing delicious treats!

Why?

You know you're in Utah if this beast pulls up next to you.On another note...I love my kitty Ginger. I wish I had him with me in SF. He's so funny he always wants to be the center of attention. If you are typing, he tries to sit on the keyboard, if you are writing he comes and sits on the paper....I love him.
How can you not love that?

Family Fun

Hanging out in Jessica's room...all cozy.
He he he he, Zoe is so cute. Look at that face and belly!
Our traditional family dinner
Deliciousness
Why don't we all eat like this? There would be so less dirty hands.
Another tradition...singing with dad.
I don't think I have ever seen my mom wear matching socks....ok maybe a couple of times.
Little bro teaching little niece how to play drums.
Jessica and Rachel
Zoe's birthday present I brought her from San Francisco.
I was taking Jessica home from our house and Jesse came with me so I would have someone to chit chat with on the way home. The only car available was the truck...so we all squished into the little truck.

Hanging out with Jess

I love hanging out with Jessica. I think this was the second day in Provo. We decided to go to Pier 49....I have not been there since highschool when Dave Goodman and Louise DuToit worked there. It brought back some memories.

This is me sitting bored....therefore passing the time taking pictures of myself while Jessica chit chats on the phone. BORING!

We went to Borders...and ended up sitting in the magazine isle reading a people's magazine and commenting on all the actors and famous people like we knew them....I know you guys do this too.
I met Jessica and SarahFaubus at Magleys Fresh for a GIGANTIC delicious breakfast!
Jessica pretend playing the violin.

Spring Time in Utah

I went back to Utah to visit friends and family...I left sunny San Francisco for this? Family and friends see how much I love you? This is my parent's back yard. I woke up this morning to this.

It is beautiful...I'll give you that, but I do like the sun.

Thank you for beautiful Utah!

Four Years of Wonderful

Happy wedding anniversary to Jon and Diana!
Jon and I were talking today about how in some ways it feels like we have been together forever.
We finish each other's sentences, know what the other one is thinking, have adopted many of the same exclamations and facial expressions, at the same time...these four years went by so fast!

Recap: Jon and I got married on April 30th, 2005 in the Timpanogos Temple. Our best friends and family were there....it's so nice having the same friends from highschool it makes it so much easier. Lunch at the Pizza Factory. A Wonderful reception in my parent's backyard with red and yellow tulips that my mom had planted, Jesse playing drums with the Jazz band, seeing so many wonderful friends, dancing, my beautiful brides maids: Jessica, Amy, Ashley, Rachel. Getting hugged so tight I couldn't breathe. Eating delicious bread and cheese.
Memory: The night before we were getting married I couldn't find my birth certificate, which I needed to have in order to get to Mexico for our honeymoon. I thought maybe I had left it at our new apartment that Jon and I had been moving into, so I called Jon and he went over to the apartment to look. Unfortunatley he forgot to bring his cell phone, so he had to call me on a pay phone to tell me he couldn't find it. He went back to the apartment and looked some more while I was looking in my room...he went back to the pay phone called me and told me he still couldn't find it...he suggested for me to look in my backpack....ooops silly me there it was. This was just a preview to our marriage...I am always loosing things and Jon is always finding them...what would I do without him?
