Maui Part I

We rented a car and spent the first part of our vacation in Kihei which is on the south part of the island.

 

This is the beach at our first hotel. It was super pretty.

 

Oh and p.s... Hawaii beach water is sooo much warmer than S.F water! Who would have thought.

 

Jon couldn't get enough of the pool rules. He loved how they had the most normal rules at the bottom on number 7 and 8.

 

This is the kitty that kept on following us around and I was secretly feeding and trying to make my pet....until Jon found out.

 

See the beach back there? This is where we spent the first day soaking in the sun....we are so not used to sun! SPF 30 for us whites.

 

The third night we camped up on the volcano.....which I found out is actually considered active!!! Jon you liar!

 

We did a little hike around our campsite....it was super pretty...and Jon got all climby.

The only way we were able to pull it off was that we took our smaller backpacking sleeping bags and tents. Jon did a ton of preparation, which landed us with some smooth, care free camping. Thanks buddy.

We played some cards until our tinfoil dinners were done cooking. Poor Jon hit his knee on the table.....and I for some reason thought it was funny.

Jon's beautiful creations..... tinfoil dinners.  He has been wanting to do these the last few times we've been camping. He finally was able to get it out of his system.

We're Back!

We got back from Maui yesterday. Once I get myself off lazy vacation mode I'll post some pictures.

Happy Birthday Bowling

It was Jon's Birthday last Monday on June 7th.  We celebrated by going bowling with some friends.

 

The chicas. I think I have 5 billion pictures girl shots like this.

 

I love this picture of Jon. He looks so bendy.

 

And this was me being annoying to Jon...which he loves. He was just trying to take a picture of Ben, but somebody kept getting in the way. As you can see I totally crack myself up......even though I'm the only one who thinks it's funny. 

 

And this was our attempt at bowling action shots. Obviously we aren't very good. Or maybe we could blame it on the camera?

Baby bag alternative

I saw this dad the other day while waiting in line. For some reason it cracked me up that he had the bottle for his baby stuck in his back pocket. I guess there aren't many manly baby bags?

Jesse and Me

Jesse is about seven years younger than me. He is the best little brother anyone could have. We were best buddies growing up and did everything together! He was, and still is, the cutest little kid ever.

 

I loved playing horsey with Jesse. We played this a lot. I think I was the one more obsessed about horses than Jesse was, but he went along with it. 

 

I absolutely LOVE this picture! This is why he was soooo much fun to play with....he had an incredible imagination. For example the bike pump he strapped to his back pretending to be....who knows what....scuba gear?

 

Some days I really miss being a little kid only worrying about was what Jesse and I were going to do that day.

 

Thanks Jesse for being the cutest, most entertaining brother ever. I love and miss you!

Spinning

My spinning class at my gym kicks my butt. I literally sweat a puddle underneath my bike!

New hip in L.A

So like I said before, my Mom and Dad went to L.A to get my Mom a new hip. This was at the Doctor's office the day before. They made her wear these funny looking shorts for the exam........she put her shoes on and was ready to walk out the door in her paper shorts before I reminded her of her outfit.

 

The surgery went well. I stayed with her the first night and Dad the second night. She got a bad headache and asked the nurse for an ice pack.......the nurse brought a whole pillowcase full of ice! We thought it was so funny.

 

Mom was a trooper. Those hospital beds are not very comfy...I know because I laid on it with her.

She was up walking with the Physical Therapist the next day. CONGRATULATIONS on your new hip Mom!

Weekend of Sun

We went down to Santa Cruz and camped on Friday night and went to the beach on Saturday morning....it's like our favorite thing to do lately.

 

We brought some of our bestest buddies.

 

The boys made a delicious breakfast...pancakes and eggs.

 

Shout out to Anisha who came camping seven months pregnant!

The beach was amazing...of course. It was super hot and the Maxfields dog Lilly kept on trying to get shade under people's legs. So they rigged this awesome shade maker up....which she loved.

This is what usually happens when we go to the beach....the boys end up playing Frisbee why the girls lay out and soak in the sun. We realized how accustomed to San Francisco weather we have become. After about two hours we were all sunned out!

 

 We stopped by a cute little burger joint and got some delicious food......check out Taisja's strawberry milk shake!

 

And yes, once again Jon got a GIGANTIC burger that he could barely fit his mouth over!

So I obviously was having some issues posting this one....the pictures are all over the place. I got so frustrated trying to fix it, I just decided to post it. You get the idea.

Famous!

Well, it happened! Our big break has come. Now that we are successful fart blanket models Diana has decided to quit her job. I'm leaving dental school, and we will pursue our true calling.

So Diana and I did a photo shoot a couple of years ago for a stock photography company. We always knew it would come back to bite us, but we never guessed it would be in such an outrageous way. For the record there was a dog named Max at the foot of the bed (out of the shot) who has flatulence problems, and Jessica (our photographer) was able to catch the moment beautifully.... That said, where can we order one of these blankets?
