Happy Birthday Rachel!

It's my big sis's birthday today. Happy birthday Rachel. Wish we were there to celebrate with you.

Last One

The last couple of days in Hawaii at the hotel. We went to church on Sunday this was the view from inside the church....which had no air conditioning.....pretty though.

 

We had way too much fun with our underwater camera.

 

It was so nice to have a beach just steps away from our hotel. We definitely got spoiled.  I couldn't get over the wonderful rainbows that appeared everyday in the afternoon.

 

We walked around the quaint little town by the hotel trying to eat our ice cream before it melted all over.

 

We scored a wonderful snorkeling trip. It was super amazing....and I managed to only barf three times...and only one of those times on a stranger's lap.

 

This was by far the coolest part of the snorkeling trip. We got to swim with turtles. I was so excited the first time I saw one I swam so fast that I almost ran into it. This would had been really bad because they mad a HUGE deal about getting a gigantic fine if you touched the turtles.

Some more playing in the pool with the underwater camera. Jon got to sit in the hot tub while I just stuck my feet in for a bit. One of the downsides of being pregnant on vacation. That and barfing/sleeping all the time.

A Barf Story

Woke up at 3:00 am....couldn't sleep. Wasn't feeling well. Drank some V8 and ate a nectarine while watching "Pushing Daisies" and knitting. Promptly after, barfed everything into the bathroom sink.....couldn't quite make it to the toilet. My loud/violent retching woke my poor husband. Uunfortunately, as it turns out, thrown up nectarines and V8 don't drain down bathroom sinks very well. Fortunately, I have the most amazing husband in the world who donned rubber gloves and scooped out said contents not draining in sink.

For the last few days of our trip we stayed in a hotel on the other side of the island. We got upgraded to this cool studio gigantic room.......we love priceline!

This is the view from our hotel balcony.

 

We spent our evening playing with the camera....should would have been nice to have a tripod. Not bad though for only steading it with my knee!

We saw so many amazing rainbows. Pictures couldn't capture how amazing they were.

 

There are some pools down there below that Jon swan in....well jumped off a gigantic rock....which I did not approve of. 

We went on a hike up to this big waterfall. On the way up there were a bunch of waterfalls and places to swim. That's the best kind of hiking.

A big part of the hike was through a bamboo forest. It was sooooo rad! When the wind blew they would rattle together.  I could have stayed in there all day.

 

Finally at the top. Your not supposed to get too close to the waterfall though because big rocks often tumble down......I guess that could be dangerous.
