Running

7-28-08: Ran 3.5 miles 32:02 minutes, pace: 9:06 min/mile (personal best!) Jon and I ran across the Golden Gate bridge and back. It was very windy, but totally beautiful!

Lake Tahoe

The Burgons invited us to Brooke's parents cabin in Lake Tahoe. It was so nice to get out of foggy San Francisco! The water was so clear and beautiful. We really tried to soak up the sun as much as possible while we were there. We also got our trash kicked at KUBB and Ticket to Ride.

When we went to the Golden Gate bridge there was a run/walk for breast cancer awareness. This was one of the guys greeting the runners/walkers at the end.

7-2-08 Ran: 5 miles in GG park (of course) 47:14 min 9:26min/mile. My legs hurt

There was actually a lot of people on that hill taking pictures. It was nice to be at a place that felt so familiar....ahhhh Full House.

Catch up

So dad is way into magic tricks right now. He showed us one of his tricks that is really good! You will have to see it to know though! It involves fire and that is always exciting.

Bets watched Zoe while we all went for a hike.

My dad forgot a hat and didn't want his bald spot to burn...so he used my sweater and Rachel's belt to make a head covering.

Mark Sandberg took us on a fun little hike in Berkeley. Patches (their dog) came with us and was so cute. She would run a little bit ahead and then look back to make sure we were coming. At one point we turned around the corner and a little tiny dog came barking and running towards us. We though that it was so bold to think it could take on Patches. Three seconds later the rest of its posse showed up. I think the little dog was in a walking group and there was like six other dogs...which probably explains why the tiny dog felt so confidant.

Running

7-25-08 Ran 3 miles in GG Park. It was really hard today I don't know why. I felt really sluggish. I did find a new lake/pond that was really fun to run around though. Ave pace: 9 min 23 sec/ mile. I slow down a ton going up hill then make it up going downhill:)

Razor mamas

My mom's newest thing is to "razor" around places. She says that it is good exercise and it helps her hip not hurt. When we all were in Berkeley my mom convinced Lynda to dig out their "razor" and ride up and down Silano while we walked it. They can get a bit crazy on those things.

Running

My goal is to run a half marathon. So I have started a running schedule. It is really fun so far, but I have been running very far, so we'll see if I keep thinking that.

Can you tell I like running in the park? It is really fun to explore and find new places!

Rose Garden

We walked around the rose garden in Berkeley and got eaten like crazy by mosquitoes!

Sliding

This is a park Rachel and I loved as kids. It is in Berkley. Some kid in the park gave me the "fast" piece of cardboard and so I pretty much beat every one down every time!

Hard Rock Cafe

That day we went to pier 39 we did a lot of stuff. Here we are at the Hard Rock Cafe, which by the way was the worst restaurant experience ever! Our server tried to charge Josh (Brother-in-law) $91.70 instead of $19.70. Rachel (my sister) set him straight though! Oh yeah and those chubby little arms coming out of Rachel's chest are Zoe's.

Family in town

My family was in town for the week. We went to Pier 39 and hung out. In the second picture down is our friend that is visiting from Spain. Julia was a fun addition to our family for this trip!

Jon almost burnt our apartment down. He had this sheet laying over the stove while he was drilling something in the wall. He must have leaned up against the knob thingy and turned it on. I heard him yelp, ran in, and saw a huge cloud of smoke. Luckily Jon put it out quickly and and nothing was ruined. Now we just have a really awesome poncho.

Our new apartment

We are finally mostly moved into our apartment. It actually feels much bigger now that there aren't a ton of boxes all over! It is still pretty small though.

Foggy Fourth

For the 4th of July Jon and I unpacked all day and then around 9pm rode our bikes up to Twin Peaks to watch the fireworks. Unfortunately we couldn't even see our hands in front of our face it was so foggy. So then we went home and got lost driving around looking for a blockbuster. Oh and this is the first time I have had to wear two sweaters in July! (There! Are you happy now Amy? :)

San Francisco

Swirling

So I am going to play some catch up now and then hopefully will stay on top of things enough so I don't have to do this recapping thing anymore.

This video is at Amy's graduation party in the Anderson's back yard with the swirly thing that I have to ride on every time I go there. Kory was the only one that would ride on it with me...and I was sick to my stomach at the end as usual. At least I didn't throw up on him! Oh yeah and I am the one in the video that is cackling like the wicked witch of the west.



Girls night out. This was probably a month or more ago and I can't even remember what the occasion was, but I remember there was food and laughing involved!


This is what happens when you run out of diapers and there are a bunch of creative and problem solving girls around. She has a cloth diaper on underneath and the macy's grocery bag is to prevent wetness. By the way, this is Sarah's baby.

Duck and Ducky decided that our lawn was there home. It was really rainy that day and I think they got lost. We fed them our old bread and they loved us. They were our pets for the day.

Moving to San Francisco

Here is the story for anybody who is wondering. Jon Is starting dental school at UCSF this fall, so we are moving to San Francisco on June 27th in the the student housing apartments. I still do not have a job for those of you wondering...and yet you would think that being a nurse it would be easy to get a job anywhere, but it turns out it is harder you think. Man I sound bitter. Anyway this is the area of apartment. I will post more pics once we move in. Friends and family are welcome to come and stay for a visit! We will have a pull out bed in the living room for you!

Birthday Suprise

I love flowers! These are my birthday and anniversary and graduation flowers all together. I spent like two hours taking pictures of them it made me so happy.

May 3rd was my 24th birthday. Jon brought me breakfast in bed. Our birthday tradition.

Jessica, Ashely, and Jon threw a surprise birthday party for me the day of my birthday. I must have been in a different world to not have recognized the signs of something secretive going on. Once it happened, it explained a whole lot though. I almost peeded my pants I was so surprised good job guys, you really know how to make someone feel loved. Any also to all of you who came and partied!

The party was an under the sea Little Mermaid theme.
